The Keystone Stream Team (KST) respects your privacy. This document outlines the ways that the KST web site may collect information from you.
Browsing the Site
Generally speaking, you can visit the pages of the KST web site without telling us who you are or revealing other personal information. The KST will also not collect readily-available data such as IP address, ISP domain name, type of web browser, or the links that you may follow. However, there are portions of the KST web site that request some personal information for security reasons and to maintain a record of member activity:
(1) Members-Only Pages
Some sections of the KST web site are reserved for KST members only. To access the member-only web pages, you will need to enter your login name and password, as well as have cookies enabled in your browser. This information is used to confirm that you are a KST member before displaying these limited-access pages.
(2) Membership Form and Order Form Pages
Some sections of the KST web site may require you to enter information in order to complete certain activities, such as joining the KST, updating KST membership, placing an order, and so on. These pages will ask you to enter your login name and password, personal information such as your name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and KST membership status. The KST will request only the information necessary to complete the activity identified on the web page.
(3) Web Form and Database Pages
The database portion of the KST web site will require you to enter information in order to enter, upload, or download resource data. These pages will ask you to enter a login name and password, personal information such as your name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address. You will be asked to accept or reject an agreement before entering, uploading, or downloading resource data. If you reject the agreement, you will be denied access to the database. If you accept the agreement, you will be permitted to access the database. Entered or uploaded data is considered the property of the Keystone Stream Team and, after formal review by database administrators, such data may be made available for download from the KST web site.
Members of the Keystone Stream Team will be notified of changes to the KST web site policies by email. To inform non-members of changes in web site policies, a notice will be posted in the news section on the KST web site. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policies will apply to everyone using the KST web site and will replace any prior policies.
